THE FIRST FOUR POPPY STORIES received a new set of covers in the summer of 2006. Following are details from the new covers, as well as cover art from a short-lived 2005 edition of Poppy, Poppy's Return, and the concluding volume in the series, Poppy and Ereth.

I'll always have an affection for the original "Ocax's eyes" cover of Poppy, but painting the new covers was an opportunity to revisit old friends, to think about different aspects of each book, and to put to use what I hope is, after lo these many years, an improved sense of mouse anatomy. I'm happy with these new paintings and hope that readers will be, too.
